Nikky has packed a lot of life into a relatively short time, with distinguished careers in theatre, television and education.
She was Company Director of her own dance theatre company for sixteen years, touring the UK, Europe and the Middle East - whilst also finding time to perform in other prestigious productions, for the likes of The Cholmondeleys, Adventures in Motion Pictures and Jean Paul Goude (famous for his work with Grace Jones).
Nikky was then snapped up by Ragdoll Productions to play Laa Laa in the now legendary Teletubbies. This led to over a decade in children's broadcast television; producting, directing, choreographing, performing, writing and devising as well as handling some pretty large budgets, marketing and merchandising.
In parallel, she has worked as a project manager and live event co-ordinator in the UK and USA, including Boohbah at Toys R Us, Times Square, and has mentored for the RSC, Creative Partnerships, London Zoo and Sonia Sabri for the Place Prize.
Throughout everything there has been an educational strand, with Nikky teaching in Paris, Switzerland, Belgium and Austria as well as at home in the UK. Her experience covers vocational dance and theatre training; infant, primary and secondary schools; special needs settings; inset delivery; creative curriculum development and consultancy for senior management teams.
Nikky's particular specialisms are:
Nikky has two Digital Dance Awards, a Bonnie Bird New Choreography Award, and is a BAFTA nominee. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Educational Practice and is studying for a Teacher Training Qualification in Pilates.
She is Director of Communications for 'CHANGING CULTURES' and works extensively as a Storyteller for 4-10 year old children and their families.
