Ruth Bell

Ruth is currently working as an Independent Education Consultant supporting schools and Local Authorities to develop creative and coherant curricula.  Ruth has worked with Cre8us and Creative Partnerships for over four years as both a Creative Agent and Creative Practitioner.  Ruth's approach to her work is shaped through a belief that as curriculum and teacher development are inseparable 'professional learning is the key to curriculum development'. 

Ruth's belief in the power of education to change lives is predicted on extensive experience as:

  • generalist and visual arts specialist in primary, middle and secondary schools;
  • advisory teacher for art and the arts and involvement in developing practice at local and national level;
  • part-time lecturer at UCE developing and delivery CPD for primary and secondary teachers of art;
  • trainer of secondary teachers of art through School Centred Initial Teacher Training;
  • trainer and coach of BLP (Building Learning Power).

Ruth holds a Masters from the University of Exeter in the Creative Arts in Education and is a contributing author to published research and writings in the field of the arts in education.
