  • Schools across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull are invited to attend the next Teaching and Learning Conference taking place at The University of Warwick (Coventry) on Friday 2nd - Saturday 3rd March 2012.
  • Keynote speeches (FREE to attend!) by:

    (The Innovation Unit: 'How can Schools, Teachers and Young People innovate learning in the 21st Century?'

    Friday 2nd March 2012:

    • 6.00pm - Arrival
    • 6.15pm - Keynote by Professor Neil Mercer (and Q&A)
    • 7.45pm - Evening meal 

    Saturday 3rd March 2012:

    • 9.00am - Keynote by Valerie Hannon (and Q&A)
    • 10.00am - Teacher - led workshops Session 1
    • 10.45am - Networking break
    • 11.15am - Teacher - led workshops Session 2
    • 12.00pm - Finish

    Participation at your choice of teacher - led workshops is FREE!  Workshops include (though subject content may vary from advertised): Creative Teaching for Creative Learning; Parental Engagement; Digital Technologies in the Classroom; Maths cluster work across secondary schools; Sustaining Creative Change; Creative innovations in a changing culture; Questioning and developing questioning techniques; Student Leadership; Learning Triads; Raising standards of literacy across the curriculum; Teaching and Learning (The Stringer Way); Effective Marking; Facebook and Twitter to aid learning.

    The Conference will host its own micro-website where participants will be invited to engage in digital debate about issues discussed and workshops themes, both prior to the event, and during the event via Twitter - just use the Twitter tag #ppinnov8us
