Cre8us has supported hundreds of creative practitioners primarily through projects with schools and young people, in a way which enables them to continue to develop their own practice. Many of the practitioners we have worked with have come from the region which is the main focus of our project delivery, particularly Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull and Warwickshire; however we have worked with practitioners from all over the country, including London, Bath and Sussex (to name a few places!)
We have worked with many established and experienced practitioners but have always been eager to discover new talent!
Many of the practitioners we have worked with have been engaged with our schools and young people through the Creative Partnerships programme. Cre8us supported each school to recruit the appropriate creative practitioner(s) or organisations to work in partnership with them. All prospective partners were selected by the schools through a competitive tendering process and were CRB (Enhanced) checked in the Local Education Area for the schools they wanted to work with. Demand by practitioners to work on our programmes was consistently very high.
Cre8us also supported practitioners working as part of the Creative Partnerships programme through a series of 'Practitioner Induction Sessions', led by Cre8us staff and Creative Agents to take time to think about their practice, discuss safeguarding and child protection issues and enable networking between practitioners and sharing of best practice.
