Cre8us has worked in partnership with over 100 schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire between 2008 and 2011.
Through the Creative Partnerships programme Cre8us worked with teachers and young people in a variety of settings including Early Years Centres, primary and secondary and special schools. Our programmes were individually designed in partnership with each school in order to address their unique challenges and priorities. No two projects were ever the same - because we knew that each school’s needs were different.
Our Creative Partnerships programme was NOT just another initiative for teachers to take on! We helped schools to achieve what they wanted to improve - using the tools that were already working for them: BLP, SEAL, PLTS, AfL, etc. Our approach was to enable schools to achieve their specific improvement priorities for the benefit of their young people.
Teachers constantly told us how important our programmes were in providing the time, resources and professional expertise needed to develop their thinking and practice - to make a real difference to their teaching and their young people's learning. Our programmes were recognised as an immensely valuable source of CPD for teachers’ own development of practice and pedagogy. The Creative Partnerships programme was also endorsed by OFSTED.
Between 2008 and 2011, Cre8us worked with more than 100 schools across Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire - many of them on our Creative Partnerships Change and Enquiry School programmes. If you would like to learn more about our work, please take a look at some of our Case Study Projects.
Cre8us also established excellent partnerships with many local organisations that formed the bedrock of the creative industries in this region. Cre8us worked with a federation of schools in Coventry to shape the development of the curriculum and the delivery of The Creative and Media Diploma.
The Diploma in Creative and Media was an exciting new qualification for young people in England aged 14-19, who wanted to learn about some of the UK's most dynamic and successful industries and learn the skills they demanded of those that wanted to work in them.
The Diploma covered a rich range of disciplines including film, TV and fashion. Students of the Diploma gained knowledge, experience and skills that enabled them to master many of the processes common to all the creative industries. The Diploma provided opportunities to specialise in specific strands of creative work i.e. carnival or interactive game design.
