Cre8us is currently working in partnership with more than 65 schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire.
Through our Creative Partnerships programme Cre8us works with teachers and young people in a variety of settings including Early Years Centres, primary and secondary and special schools. Our programmes are individually designed in partnership with each school in order to address their unique challenges and priorities. No two projects are ever the same - because each school’s needs are different.
Our Creative Partnerships programme is NOT yet another initiative for teachers to take on! We help schools to achieve what they want to improve - using the tools that are already working for them: BLP, SEAL, PLTS, AfL, etc. Our approach is to enable schools to achieve their specific improvement priorities for the benefit of their young people.
Teachers constantly tell us how important our programmes are in providing the time, resources and professional expertise needed to develop their thinking and practice - to make a real difference to their teaching and their young people's learning. Our programmes are recognised as an immensely valuable source of CPD for teachers’ own development of practice and pedagogy. The Creative Partnerships programme has been endorsed as valuable by OFSTED.
This year we are working with more schools than ever in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire - many of them on our Creative Partnerships Change and Enquiry School programmes. If you would like to learn more about our work, please take a look at some of our Projects.
Applications to join our Enquiry Schools programme are being accepted now. Schools in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire that are interested in joining this one year funded programme can learn more about the benefits for them at our next Enquiry School information event on the 20th April 2010. Through our Learning Changes programme we assist schools and other organisations to develop robust strategic plans to meet their own unique challenges and priorities. Our team of highly experienced professional educational consultants will work with you to examine in detail your priorities challenges and then help you to formulate a strategic plan of action that includes professional development training for teachers.
Cre8us has established excellent partnerships with many local organisations that form the bedrock of the creative industries in this region. Cre8us is currently working with a federation of schools in Coventry to shape the development of the curriculum and the delivery of The Creative and Media Diploma.
The Diploma in Creative and Media is an exciting new qualification for young people in England aged 14-19, who want to learn about some of the UK's most dynamic and successful industries and learn the skills they demand of those that want to work in them.
The Diploma covers a rich range of disciplines including film, TV and fashion. Students of the Diploma gain knowledge, experience and skills that enable them to master many of the processes common to all the creative industries. The Diploma provides opportunities to specialise in specific strands of creative work i.e. carnival or interactive game design.
Cre8us has a huge fund of valuable expertise to draw on gained through our work with schools in a wide range of settings that include: Primary and Secondary schools, Early Years Children’s Centres, and with Extended Learning Centres (formerly Pupil Referral Units).
Our work is not just confined to schools - we are also able to work in partnership with organisations whose main concern is young people. So, if you or your organisation works with young people in any context - we would be delighted to discuss with you how we can use our skills to help your engagement with young people more meaningful and successful.
